The key to empowerment is knowledge. The more we know the more we are capable of handling different activities of our day-to-day life. An empowered society needs less guidance and outside direction which allows us to take control of ourselves. The internet era, innumerably helps us to gain knowledge and information which is vital for Social Empowerment and societial equality.

The fundamental issue to gather information is its vastness and complexity. Achieving Economic, Cultural, Societal, and national Empowerment, it is inevitable to have enough knowledge empowerment in the society. Having the basic idea about social, legal, administrative rights and access methods, brings each individual being braver and bolder to take decisions to lead their lives positively.

Dheera – a Sanskrit word which means “brave or bold”. A brave and bold citizen is the asset of a country, individually and collectively they, the people who can create impact in the society by holding the right directions and supporting the vulnerable beings in the society.

In this direction, citizensupport brought an idea to initiate an open-source people led project to assemble basic information and knowledge required in day-to-day life of our citizens.

Any citizen/ institution(s) can contribute by sharing their life experience or knowledge about a particular subject connected to our society. It can be on following areas;

• Fundamental rights of the citizen(s) – (civil, criminal, family, domestic violence, fundamental legal rights,)
• Consumer rights (Product /service, financial fraud, cheating, etc)
• Central/state Govt schemes and policies
• Small/micro business ideas and ways to start, business training and soft skills, financial inclusion etc.
• Education – rights, scholarships, opportunities, new skills, future areas of education etc.
• Health technology, medicines, treatments, programmes etc.
