There is a frequent charge from the government departments, that the RTI Act was being widely misused by the citizenry, especially by filing a large number of vexatious, frivolous and otherwise objectionable applications (with no legitimate purpose whatsoever), though it was an ardent step by the authority to divulge a message that they would not prefer to answer citizen queries. But researchers saying that it was not true.
More than 90 percent of RTI applications must have responded promptly. Perhaps lack of adequate law awareness, unprofessional approach etc. constitutes applications are not really seeking information, with clear and precise questions rather it become help seeking, unclear, lengthy and storytelling. In our experience in RTI, a professional approach is needed to facilitate our administration more accountable.
As of now we all may new that administrative sector will take an application seriously only if it legally bound to them. Unless, it might have been create expanded vacuum for them to pitch ‘put on hold’ behaviour.
